This Indenture made the 22 day of October in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty three BETWEEN Susan Mansfield McVicar of the City of Rochester Monroe Co + State of New York.
of the first part and Frederick Douglass of the same place of the second part,

Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of six hundred + fifty dollars lawful money of the United States to her duly paid has sold and By These Presents does grant and convey to the said party of the second part, his heirs and afsigns, all that Tract or Parcel of Land situate in the City of Rochester aforesaid being part of Lot Number 19 in the third range of lots in Township No. 13 Seventh range bounded and described as follows Beginning at a stone in the west line of South Avenue at the N.E. Corner of lands owned by Frederick Douglass: Thence N 87 3/4 W 7.28 cns along the lands heretofor sold to the said Douglass. To Ellwanger and Barry's land - thence northerly along the east line of said E + B 's 1.91 chs. to a post. thence S. 87.11" E along the south line of Ellwanger and Barry's land 6.22 chs to a post! thence 52 1//2 W to a ??? 28 links from said Douglass' north line! thence easterly parallel with said Douglass north line to the west line of South Avenue! thence southerly along the west line of said avenue to the place of beginning. Containing one acre of land and no more.
